The thermostat on a machine that is used to clean engine parts malfunctioned during the night and caused severe humidity in the machine shop. As a result, several engine blocks rusted, almost beyond being able to use them. Lorin and Travis decided the Schaeffer Rustender would be a quick fix for the damage and they were right! The blocks soaked one hour. They were taken out and everyone was amazed at the results. The engine blocks showed no signs of rust. The value of the rusted parts was over $8,000!
It was very common for the Bobcats used at the city garbage facility to have one–two flat tires a week due to nails driven over in pushing the garbage. Chris Haffner stated it took an average of 15 minutes to transport the Bobcat to the city garage, 20 minutes to change the tire, and approximately 30 minutes to fix it, for a total of 1 hr. in labor per tire. All the tires now have Schaeffer’s Tire Sealant and several nails pushed into the tires. The #743 Tire Sealant has been in the tires for 4 ½ months and the have not changed ONE tire! Chris noted he hasn’t even had to add air to the tires! HUGE labor savings and tires, too!!
